Elkhart, Indiana -- October 2007 -- For 2008, Azure Marine, part of Bennington Marine Group, is introducing the Azure AZ298, a new, 29 bow rider that offers a spacious, luxuriously appointed cockpit and a sleek, efficient, extremely strong hull design. The Azure AZ298 features the patented SureTrac 22-degree deadrise hull, the deepest V-hull on the market, making this Azure a superior handling boat in rough water.
The curvy, aerodynamic Azure has a muscular, solid, and unified look. It comfortably seats sixteen. It has two body-contoured, forward-facing chaise lounges, wrap-around deep bow seating with sculpted backrests accessible using the step-through windshield and a starboard side chaise with a back that lifts for storage. The Azure helm seat incorporates the Tri-Tech triple-suspension system. The system involves carbon fiber leaf springs, flexible fabric and multi-density foam to provide a very smooth ride.
AZ298 incorporates many features for which Azure has become famous such as a self-bailing cockpit with a DripDry ski locker, a bow boarding ladder with beach access step, and a fiberglass head with sink and pressurized, fresh water shower. The transom has been pushed rearward in this design to create additional space. Adding to the extra room is the rear convertible sun pad that appears when you fold over the back of the chaise. There is also a large, extended swim platform.
The Azure is made with hand-laid, high-performance fiberglass, Vinylester Barrier coat below the waterline, premium gel coat with a two-year warranty, and stainless steel for many metal parts including cleats, telescoping ladder, rub rail and other hardware.
The Azure AZ298 can be equipped with power up to 425hp. The boat comes with a bimini top and boot as well as a trailering cover.
